A Type-C USB port is now standard for rear seat passengers to charge devices on the go and blind spot intervention has been adopted to support the driver.
What’s New For 2023? Key Features and Updates.
For 2023, the ESSENTIAL trim adds Traffic Sign Recognition and is distinguished by unique cube design LED headlights with auto leveling and adaptive front lighting system. The 2023 SENSORY trim provides greater comfort for passengers with a heated second-row, outboard seats and a 4-way passenger power lumbar adjustment. With a design inspired by the iconic INFINITI FX that introduced the coupe-crossover segment nearly 20 years ago, this shapely and stylish 2023 crossover pairs perfectly with an innovative and award-winning powertrain. Every QX55 is powered by a Variable Compression Turbocharged engine and INFINITI Intelligent All-Wheel Drive, which is standard on all QX55 models for buyers in North America. The QX55’s inspired dynamics, intuitive technology and decadent interior enable bold automobile owners to challenge the conventional. And its advanced driver-assistance systems, spacious cabin, and leading convenience features benefit QX55 owners and passengers in every journey this stylish crossover makes.

Standard on all trims are dual touch screens for infotainment (8-inch upper, 7-inch lower screens) that include wireless Apple CarPlay and USB-based Android Auto compatibility software. Standard active noise cancellation in all QX55 trim levels filters sounds outside the QX55’s stylish cabin and an available Bose Performance Series 16-speaker audio system fills the cabin with impeccable notes inside. The daring exterior is sharpened by standard 20-inch wheels on all trim levels, and is elegantly highlighted by “digital piano key” tail-lights at the rear and INFINITI’s signature human-eye headlights at the front.
The QX55’s Driven Design
The QX55’s bold design consists of its daring roofline and stunning silhouette, inspired by the iconic INFINITI FX. The roof gently arcs from the forward roof pillar down and signature double-arch grille to the tail in a complete and cohesive line. In the front, the QX55 has a geometric inner mesh grille that imitates origami folds and pronounces the vehicle’s confident looks. Fog lights surrounded by black fill the lower half of the front, while standard LED headlights and newly standard adaptive front lights with unique cube LED headlights-and newly standard adaptive front lights with unique cube LED headlights on the QX55 ESSENTIAL and higher-create a bold, nighttime look. In the back, the QX55 embraces a minimalist look with an integrated badge that not only portrays the road ahead in INFINITI’s iconic logo but also operates the standard power rear liftgate in a single, cohesive design. On QX55 SENSORY trims, the power liftgate has a motion-activated sensor that allows for opening by kicking the foot, which is useful with full hands.
Driver-Centric Interior Design
The QX55’s interior design is driver-centric and captivating, with a wide windshield view made possible by a low dash. The interior is filled with natural light by a standard power-sliding, tinted sunroof/moonroof. You can choose from three stunning color combinations, with striking Monaco Red/Graphite seats available exclusively for the QX55 SENSORY. For the driver and the front passenger, the QX55’s “zero gravity” seats help increase comfort by minimizing pressure on the back and hips.
Every 2023 INFINITI QX55 comes with standard dual, high-resolution touch screens for vehicle infotainment and controls, including wireless Apple CarPlay and USB-based Android Auto. The cabin features five USB ports for charging and infotainment, including two USB-C connectors and three USB-A connectors. New for 2023, all trim levels of the INFINITI QX55 come with advanced driver-assistance systems, including ProPILOT Assist with Intelligent Cruise Control including Full-Speed Range and Hold with Steering Assist. When engaged, ProPILOT Assist supports the driver with acceleration, steering, and braking when driving on a single-lane highway and in stop-and-go traffic. Exclusive to the QX55 SENSORY, the Head-Up Display projects vital vehicle information onto a 9-inch area of the windshield to help keep drivers’ eyes looking forward. The Head-Up Display also includes speed-limit information from the QX55’s onboard Traffic Sign Recognition system to support drivers, even in construction zones.
The Heart of the 2023 INFINITI QX55
Every QX55s is powered at its heart by an innovative and dynamic VC-Turbo 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that makes 268 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. The engine seamlessly varies its compression ratio between 8:1 and 14:1 to deliver maximum power or fuel efficiency depending on the driver’s needs. That’s due to an advanced and innovative multi-link system that can raise or lower the pistons’ stroke imperceptibly at all times, and is the world’s first mass-production variable-compression engine. The ingenious VC-Turbo engine is paired with a Continuously Variable Transmission that uses “shift by wire” technology, which can almost instantly relay the driver’s preferences with manual shifting. By combining the paddle shifters and INFINITI’s Drive Mode Selector, the powertrain’s multiple modes for Standard, ECO Sport, and Personal preferences ensure that the driver is confidently in control of the powertrain’s behavior. Depending on the driver’s preference, the system can shuttle power between the front and rear axles to maximize efficiency or takeoff. Up to 50% of the available power from the engine goes to the rear wheels if the system detects slippage in front. What’s more, the Active Brake Limited Slip systems can brake individual wheels for better side-to-side grip when needed.

And the 2023 INFINITI QX55 comes with INFINITI Premium Care.
