How Lane Departure Warning & Lane Departure Prevention Work
Both of these systems activate once you drive and reach a speed of about 45 mph or above. This is perfect for use on busy roads like Route 17 & Route 46 or on highways like I-80, the NJ Turnpike, the Garden State Parkway & I-287.
Lane departure warning and lane departure prevention works via the camera unit located above the inside rearview mirror of your INFINITI when the lane markings are clear. Both of these features jump into action when the camera senses your INFINITI is approaching the left or right side of the travel lane.
INFINITI lane departure warning indicates when you’re drifting from your lane with a warning indicator light flashing in the instrument panel and an audible chime sounding. INFINITI lane departure prevention automatically applies the brakes on the side of the vehicle that’s moving into the other lane or road shoulder, which helps it return to the center of the lane you’re driving in.
