2025 INFINITI QX80 at the Edge at Hudson Yards Sky Scraper

The redesigned 2025 INFINITI QX80 made its public debut at the Edge at Hudson Yards, the skyscraper viewing deck is 100 stories above the streets of Manhattan. Ahead of the 2025 year the INFINITI QX80 has caught the attention of many and what better venue than the Edge at Hudson Yards to display such innovation and the future of INFINITI’s new flagship SUV. Showcasing its elevated design, technology and craftsmanship in the luxury SUV space.

The 2025 QX80’s grand debut was accompanied by a private concert performance for invited guests atop Edge, featuring five-time Grammy Award-winning and Academy-winning singer, songwriter and composer Jon Batiste. Award-winning broadcaster and entrepreneur Erin Andrews served as the official host for the evening as the all-new 2025 QX80 was unveiled.

Despite losing two cylinders, the 3.5-liter V-6 twin-turbo engine powering the 2025 INFINITI QX80 produces 450 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, an increase of 50 horsepower and more than 100 lb-ft over the previous generation. Depending on the powertrain setup, a nine-speed automatic gearbox that matches with the engine may provide power to either the back or all four wheels. A pleasant feature is INFINITI’s claim of approximately 20 percent more fuel efficiency.

Four-wheel drive is an option for the Pure and Luxe trim levels, while four-wheel drive is standard on the Sensory and Autograph trim levels. A drive mode selection featuring Standard, Eco, Sport, Snow, Tow, and Personal options is included with all models. Up to 8,500 pounds can be towed by any model.

There will be noticeable ride quality improvements with the 2025 INFINITI QX80. According to INFINITI , the frame is 57% stiffer than the 2024 INFINITI QX80, which should lessen vibrations and reduce body roll on badly surfaced roads. To enhance the SUV’s aerodynamics, Luxe and higher variants will come with an electronic air suspension system that can adjust the ride height based on the state of the road. To make getting in and out of the car simple, the air suspension may be lowered by 2.8 inches while parked and by 1.2 inches when traveling; Ramsey, NJ drivers are sure to love and appreciate this feature.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Three screens make up the infotainment system of the QX80. High up on the dash are two 14.3-inch screens:

  • One for the infotainment touchscreen and the other for the digital gauge cluster.
  • Lower-mounted, a third 9.0-inch touchscreen manages the HVAC system and drive-mode selector, among other things. It should come as no surprise that Google Maps, the Google Play app store, and Google Assistant are all accessible via the conventional Google-based infotainment system.
  • A 14-speaker Klipsch sound system with eight USB-C connections comes standard; the Sensory and Autograph trims come standard with a more potent 24-speaker Klipsch stereo with speakers in the headrests and headliner.

Seating

There are three rows of seats in the QX80, and each should be roomy and pleasant. The infotainment touchscreen and gauge cluster are housed in a wall of displays on the strikingly designed dashboard. A massaging function for the first- and second-row seats is one of the many upscale amenities that INFINITI provides, but you’ll need to upgrade to the Sensory or Autograph trims to take use of it. The third row will also have heated seats available. When a passenger in the backseat gets too heated, an optional infrared sensor system may sense it and automatically move cold air from the climate control vents toward them. Ambient lighting that can be adjusted with up to 64 different colors is available, as is a center console “cool box” with space to chill a six-pack of your favorite canned beverages.
